Indy just blocked a punt and returned it for  TD. They tried to go for two but it was picked off and returned the other way for a TD. I don't think I have ever seen that happen before. By rule it's only a 1 2 point play though but still funny.

New Orleans fumbles it away and the Lions recover. If they get a TD it should wrap this one up.

Wouldn't this have been a better game for the Kelly Greens than Buffalo or Miami?

Miami made sense, because it was a night game.   But, yes... definitely.

All these drops for the Chargers are why people rightfully stick up for Herbert. It's not his fault.

Also down their pro bowl center and Williams, Palmer are out. Keenan Allen probably shouldn’t be playing with the injury he’s dealing with. And ekeler hasn’t been as good as he has been in previous years. Herbert has to be better but Allen hobbling through, guyton and Johnson (as bad as JJAW and reagor) is pretty bad wr corps.

The two consistent issues with the Chargers franchise in recent years is how awful their coaching is and how often their sports science dept is full

Wish they did it for Dallas. Against 2 AFC teams is lame.

Glad the DL can get their Cox out today. The DL rotation will be key, I feel

Interesting stats on leading/losing

It makes sense. The 49ers are front running softies, and the Eagles never quit.

That Miami/eagles game was a throw back to ace Ventura.

Yeah, I never understood why those games were selected.

That's driving the QB into the ground in Saints game...  but years ago, that was just a great hit.

One of the few times where roughing the passer is justified.

I wonder how the NFL will ban  the shove but allow TDs like Russell Wilson's? They are going to do their best to thread a needle that Refs just won't be able to consistently officiate.

Speaking of which, I bet the Birds do something different out of it tonight.

Only based on the new rules...  we can discuss whether the rules are soft or not... but that is the rule.   Years ago, Reggie White hit Phil Simms like that, knocked him out of the game, and the Eagles went on to win the game.    Similarly, Hugh Douglas did the same thing with Jim Miller and the Bears.   I miss the old NFL a little bit.
