EMB Blog: 2023 Regular Season... and Post Season Blog

Connecticut Eagle

Mahomes crying about a 'flag changing the outcome of a game in that moment' is amazingly ironic.    Does he NOT remember the way the Super Bowl ended?  Cry me a river you big baby.

This wasn't even a 'judgement' call by the ref.   That was egregious.    Line up properly.   The job of the WR on the line is to check with the ref while lining up.  More so, he's looking at the ball.   How did he not know he was offsides?

Meanwhile... the Eagles are embarrassing themselves, but at least they aren't whining about the refs.

Nothing has happened in two weeks. This has been this team ALL SEASON LONG. They've been getting lucky week in and week out, mostly against terrible teams. Last year was their year to win and they blew it, this team is a first round exit waiting to happen.

This is sort of confirmation that they are what they have looked like.  They should be commended for pulling out tough games, but there was enormous luck in them too.  And you can’t keep winning like that.  So they stopping winning.

The defense has been bullied the last 2 weeks. Wouldn’t be upset if someone blasted a Cowboy. Flat out bullied.

You can get your ass kicked but you got to fight back.

End of the day Sirianni is allowing Desai to continue to do the same song and dance week over week. He has a level of accountability here.

Hate to burst your bubble but this crap is on sirianni, he oversees everything as the head coach, he hired these coordinators, it’s his offense and defense being ran…right now sirianni is the biggest problem with this team

Then fire him too. If that’s what it takes to get new coordinators in here. I won’t lose any sleep over it

They could still win out, but even so, they have no chance of any kind of meaningful run in the post season.

Win out? Haha! This team is not as good as Seattle. And it likely drops one to NY because it’s a division game.

I'm not happy with Desai either but no one is going to come here and do anything with the middle of our defense in its current state either. If the DL doesn't win consistently they're gonna get toasted.

How about just coaching the DL to keep contain on a QB like Dak so that he can't escape the pocket whenever he wants to?

This is something to explore more in the offseason, but it's possible everything was kind of a lightning in a bottle year for the Eagles last year(Hurts MVP season, record breaking sack totals, insane turnover differential, etc) and this season everything regressed to the mean and they played above their heads and coached above their heads.

Others would think that 10-2 is the best record in the NFL,  and consider much of what is being said here excessive whining.

Oh dude come on! Look at what’s happening and what happened last week. This team isn’t winning out. This team wins a max of 2 more games.

Over reacting isnt my style

seattle is an annoying team. Could be a loss But still think we win. Last three are jokes

If the 9ers win out, the Eagles don't get the 1 if they complete the loss tonight.    They get the 2.   Not the worst result... but not great either.

Yep. Smart for Howie to pay him 50 million without waiting to find out

I wouldn't be opposed as to letting Patricia take over but he's supposed to be the senior assistant.

Reich should be brought in to take over the offense

If Josh Sweat doesn't perfectly time the snap count he is utterly useless.  He doesn't have any other moves. I've already lost count of how many times he's ended up 5 yards behind the QB and totally out of the play

Hurts and this defense are so bad. Looking forward to the draft

yeah. poor defensive showing is overshadowing 6 first half points. Hurts isnt good enough anymore. But the run game has also disappeared. Theres nothing we do well on either side of the ball anymore.

Likely don’t have to play both DAL and SF…

For who? For what? They will just f it up. This is not a championship team or even close.

I don't think they can win out playing like this.  The strengths of the team, the lines, are getting dominated.  Not just beat, but dominated.

I’m concerned what next year will hold with another year of age on this OL and no resources to meaningfully change the catastrophic back 7.   They are going to have to run it back with the same group plus maybe one marginally improved veteran LB and draft picks.

No, the Eagles just don’t get that call.

Lamb never made contact did he? IDK, didn’t watch a replay.

Well, playing like they are recently, they would be lucky to even meet one of them... they don't seem to be a team capable of beating GB right now.

2 of last 3 are division games against the same opponent. Jokes or not there’s a good chance we drop one of those just because that’s how it goes. There would be a good chance we’d drop one of those even if we were firing.

He did make contact.   But did it within 1 yard of the LOS... so its legal.   It sucks... but its legal.
